Our Story

Why we started the Arrow Cup

My brother and I started Arrow Athletics because, like a lot of the players who'll fill these divisions, we loved playing for our high school team — and we missed it the second the fall season ended. We both went on to play in college, and we watched plenty of teammates go the club route too. That's real competition, and we don't take anything away from it. But none of it replaces playing for your school, with your own classmates on the sideline cheering you on. Nothing really does.

So we built the league we wished had existed: a summer season where high school players keep playing as a team, with real divisions, real officiating, and standings that actually matter — not a pickup run to kill time before preseason.

This summer starts local, but that's just the start. The plan is for the Arrow Cup to grow into a statewide cup, and eventually a New England–wide one — teams playing through the season in pools, then meeting at the end of summer for the Arrow Cup tournament, where the top teams from each pool play each other for the title. We're excited to be part of a bigger movement: bringing together high school teams that have never had a reason, or a chance, to play each other before.
